Violinist Nelli Economidou's collaboration with Philippos Nakas began in 2001, and since 2010 she had been teaching for almost one decade the junior chamber music orchestra, with children aged up to 14 years. She studied mathematics at the University of Athens and violin in her class of Ismini Chrysohoou-Carter. She is a member of the Athens State Orchestra since 1985. She was concertmaster of the National Symphony Youth Orchestra, a founding member of the chamber orchestra 'Strings of Athens', a founding member of the 'Ensemble AKROAMA', member of the quintet 'Enodon', founding member of the 'Oboe Quartet'. She was a member of the Committee of the Ministry of Education with Tatsis Apostolidis, Giorgos Demertzis, Yannis Tzoumanis responsible for the syllabus of the violin in music schools. Taught at several conservatories from 1985 and on. Several students of hers have won awards in national and Pancyprian competitions. Nelli Economidou hold the President's position of the society of musicians of the Athens State Orchestra. She is the Artistic Director of the Melissia and Glyfada subsidiaries of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
