The program aims to give students the necessary skills that will enable them to pursue a successful career in music for film, television, video games and other media.
The curriculum includes the following sections:

  • The film scoring as a profession
  • History of film music
  • Analysis of important soundtracks (aesthetic and technical approach)
  • Introduction to music for interactive media (eg video games)
  • Composition techniques
  • Orchestration techniques
  • The use of music technology in creating a soundtrack
  • Extensive study of creating midi & recording studios
  • Career guidance and practical suggestions for finding work in this area
