Irini Anastasiou was born and raised in Athens. She took her first piano lessons at the age of 10 at the Nikos Skalkotas Conservatory with Christina
Spyridaki. From 2006 she studied with Alexandra Papastephanou at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, from where she received her diploma in 2014 with honors and second prize. In addition, she has attended piano seminars with András Kemenes and André Marchand.

In 2014 after obtaining her diploma, she started church organ lessons with the cantor of the German Church of Athens, Christos Paraskevopoulos until 2020.

She works as an organist of the Cathedral Catholic Church of St. Dionysios Areopagitis from 2018 until today, while at the same time she has taken over the artistic curation of the events held in the Temple.

She has performed numerous concerts in venues such as the Athens Concert Hall, the Christian & Byzantine Museum, the Cathedral Catholic Church of St. Dionysios Areopagitis et al. She has also collaborated with many chamber music ensembles, music festivals as well as with orchestras such as the National Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of Colours.

As of the academic year 2023-24 she teaches piano at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
