Four hands on black and white | Duo Pianismo concert Antigoni Miliori, Dimitra Mane

Music for 4 hands on one piano and for 2 pianos is one of the most communicative musical expressions. It attracts a large part of the music-loving audience thanks to the theatricality as well as the solid polyphony of the repertoire.

The 6 pieces for 4 hands by S. Rachmaninoff highlight the polyphonic nature of the instrument. The aroma of Greece and Argentina emerges from the 8 Island Dances of Yiannis Konstantinidis and the famous Milonga del Angel by Astor Piazzolla, while with Dmitri Shostakovich's Concertino, the two pianos seduce the listener into a game of intense musical expression and communication.

PROGRAM

S. Rachmaninoff (1873-1943): Six pieces for 4 hands op. 11
G. Konstantinidis: 8 Greek Island Dances for 2 pianos
A. Piazzolla (1921-1992): Milonga del angel
D. Shostakovich (1906-1975): Concertino op. 9

Duo Pianismo is formed by Antigoni Miliori and Dimitra Mane, who have been collaborating as a duo since 2007, presenting to the common repertoire consisting of works for two pianos and works for four hands.
