A travel in time | Piano recital Daphne Filippaki

Pianist Daphne Filippaki will take us on a journey through time. Beginning with Bach's Toccata in E minor and ending with the echo of Moldau by B. Smetana, the bridge for the two completely different works will be created by two Beethoven Sonatas and the romantic works by Chopin and Liszt.

Daphne Filippaki was born in 1996 in Athens and started piano lessons at the age of 10. In 2017, she received a Piano Degree with grade Excellent, and in 2019 she received a Piano Diploma with Excellent and 1st prize, with teacher Evi Marinaki. She has received with distinction Grades 6, 7, 8 (Piano Performance) of the London College of Music and has participated in the 42nd Panhellenic Piano Competition "Filon" winning the 1st prize in the 4th Category (2019). She has participated in masterclasses with important musical personalities such as Martino Tirimo, Lilia Boyadjieva and Pavlos Giallourakis, while in the summer of 2018 she participated in the 19th Warsaw Piano Workshop held in Warsaw by the Frederic Chopin State School of Music. In addition to her piano studies, she has a degree in Harmony and Counterpoint with grade excellent and is currently studying Fugue (Yiannis Alygizakis' Class), while at the same time teaching both Piano and Theory at the Athenaikon Conservatory. She has participated in numerous concerts in important halls and places of culture and has performed recitals. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Biology of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.
