Alexandros Aretas was born in Athens. He studied violin at the Conservatories: Synchrono Odeio, Athens Conservatory and Philippos Nakas Conservatory in the class of Nelli Oikonomidou. He received the first degree "Ptychion" (2005) and then the Diploma (2008) from the class of Nelli Oikonomidou, at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, with honors. He has participated as an active member in seminars on the Art of Interpretation by professor Dimitris Gouzios (2003) as well as in violin seminars of Sergei Kravschenko (1999) and Bernhard Hartog (2003 and 2004). He was a member of a string quartet (2003-2004) under the direction of Dimitris Gouzios, has taken part in a television series (2008) and participated in the Opera "Dido and Aeneas" (2003) at the Philippos Nakas Concert Hall.
He was a member of the Athens Youth Orchestra (2004-2005) and the Psychiko Municipality Orchestra (2008-2010). He has been teaching since 2009 (Chalkidonio Conservatory) and since September 2018 he has been part of the staff of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
