Roula Kouvara was born in Agrinio, where she started studying piano at the age of five at the National Conservatory of Agrinio. She obtained the Piano Diploma with Honours in 2023 at the Athenaeum Conservatory, with teacher Nelli Semitekolo. In 2016 and 2018 she obtained the Degrees in Piano and Harmony with Honors, with teacher Angelos Velegrakis.
She is also a graduate of the Department of Architectural Engineering of the University of Patras, majoring in Art & Public Space.
She has attended masterclasses with: Lorenda Ramou, Domna Evnouchidou, Costas Hardas, Spyros Noulis, Eftychia Veniota. She has completed a six-month training course of the National and Kapodistrian University in Music and Movement Education. She was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Greek Television under the direction of conductor Andreas Pylarinos and has participated in its concerts. She has also taken part as a pianist in other concerts, festivals and theater performances.
Lately she has been participating in exhibitions and performances with her own sound compositions on a prepared piano, collaborating with dancers and performers.
She has been teaching piano, Theory and Music-Movement Education for many years in Conservatories of Attica and in 2023 she started her collaboration with the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
