Born in Karditsa, piano soloist Apostolos Palios was described as an "amazing pianist" (Cyprien Katsaris) and "an unusually charismatic, communicative and dedicated musician with great finesse, expressiveness and artistic entity" (Y. Solomon).

Graduated in piano and advanced theory at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa, he studied at the Music Academies of Berlin and Leipzig with G. Sava and M. Tomas, where he received a soloist diploma and a master's degree with honors and distinction, while simultaneously studying chamber music and orchestra conducting. He grew up close to important personalities of the artistic scene, such as A. Ciccolini, M. Perahia, C. Katsaris, Y. Solomon, R. Szidon, G. Hatzinikos. He is a graduate and PhD holder of the Department of Music Studies of the National Kapodistrian University.

He was a scholarship holder of the I. Kostopoulos, World in Harmony Foundations, as well as of the State of Saxony, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the National Scholarships Foundation and was awarded with prizes in several international piano, chamber music and composition competitions in Greece, Germany, Italy and Spain. He was honored with the Commendation of the Academy of Athens and won the Gina Bachauer Award of the World in Harmony Foundation. The Union of Greek Theater and Music Critics awarded him the awards of the best new artist of the year and the best album by a Greek artist.

As a soloist he has appeared in important concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad (Germany, England, France, Spain, Austria, Russia, Norway, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt, Chile, USA) and in some of the most important concert halls in the world (Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Vienna, Carnegie Hall New York Philharmonic Oslo, Auditorio de Falla Granada, Athens Concert Hall). His recordings include, among others, collaboration with Naxos. He has collaborated repeatedly with all Greek and important orchestras abroad (Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, etc.) and has performed world premieres.

A former member of the Aurora Piano Quartet of Germany and the Ergon Ensemble of contemporary music, he has been the artistic director of the international New Classics concert series. He collaborates as a piano teacher with the music departments of the University of Macedonia and of the Kapodistrian University and as of 2022 he collaborates with Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
