Pianist Alexandra Tzigianni was born in Chalkida. She graduated from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University (Master in Music Performance and Piano Teaching). Her master's thesis was an interpretative-critical approach to the works for solo piano by the composer and professor of composition Christos Samaras. She studied for four years with the distinguished pianist Valery Sagaidachny and obtained a piano degree and diploma with Honors at the Nikos Skalkotas Conservatory and the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, respectively. She pursued her studies at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris with the pianist Natalia Michailidou. She actively participated in master classes with Reinhart Becker, Irina Ossipova, Christopher Elton, Michael Schreider, Maxim Mogilevsky, Jean Claude Pennetier, Lilia Bojadjieva and Giorgos Chatzinikos in Corfu, England and Germany.
In 2001 she took part in the 1st Panhellenic Young Pianists competition in Andros where she won 3rd Prize, a cash prize and an honorary diploma.
She has performed at festivals in Greece and abroad, Corfu Festival, Internationale Musiktage Brache in Germany, as well as at the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation ("Thursdays with cinema at IMC") performing works by Greek composers. She regularly performs with the violinist-member of the Athens State Orchestra, Dimitris Angelidis. She has taught piano at music schools in the Greek territory, as well as at the Municipal Conservatory of Chalkida Nikos Skalkotas and at branches of the National Conservatory. She is a graduate of the Psychology - Philosophy Department of the National University of Athens.

Since 2023 Alexandra Tzigianni is teaching piano at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
