Ioannis Andrianopoulos was born in Athens. He received a Diploma in Guitar with honors in the class of Kostas Kotsiolis at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki and completed his postgraduate studies with the same professor. He holds degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint and Fugue in the class of Argyris Kallianiotis and holds a degree in Computer Science from the Hellenic Open University.

He has attended master classes with  Joaquín Clerch, J. Castro-Balbi, Pavel Steidl, Roland Hoffman at the Volos International Guitar Festival.
In 2002 he won 1st prize at the 23rd Volos International Guitar Festival and the 2nd prize at the pan-Hellenic guitar competition in Chalkida.
In 2003, he became a member of the Hellenic Guitar Ensemble (E.K.S.), with which he made a series of appearances in Greece and recorded for Greek Radio and Television. He has given recitals and performed as a member of music ensembles in Athens and other cities in Greece.
He teaches classical guitar at the National Conservatory of Nea Smyrni and the Raimondi Conservatory. He is also an IT teacher in Secondary Education schools.
From the educational year 2023-24, he is a faculty member of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
