Anastasios Stamatopoulos was born in 1995. He is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a senior student of the postgraduate program "Jazz Improvisation with New Technologies", with a scholarship from the Kostopoulos Foundation, of the same Department.
He holds a diploma in trombone from the Philippos Nakas Conservatory with Excellence - 2nd Prize (Konstantinos Avgerinos class).
He has appeared in concerts with the State Orchestra of Athens, the National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the National Radio Contemporary Music Orchestra and the
Kamerata. From 2016 to 2022 he was a permanent member of the "Philharmonia" Orchestra of Athens.
He has attended seminars and private trombone lessons with Martin Schippers, Pierre Volders, Bart Claessens, Achilles Liarmakopoulos, Angelos
Kritikos, Vicente Climent Calatayud as well as jazz trombone lessons with Antonis Andreou, Yannis Marinos and Mariel Bildsten.
He teaches trombone at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, the Conservatory of Argyroupolis and the Philharmonic of Markopoulon Municipality.
