Spyros Dogoritis was born in Ioannina where he began his musical studies.
He studied music theory (harmony, counterpoint, fugue) and in 2004 obtained his Diploma in Composition with honors and with Professor Joseph Papadatos the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
He has collaborated with the Center for Contemporary Music Research in 'Chroai' for research and preservation of traditional Greek music. He has written music for theater and works for various ensembles, choir and solo instruments.
With his "three songs on poetry Nazim Hikmet" for voice and piano he won the Abdi Ipekci 1st Prize in 2000. His works have been presented at the Athens Concert Hall and elsewhere.
