Alexandros Kouvelis began his musical studies at the age of eight by learning guitar and then bouzouki at Themis Papavasileiou's school where he studied for ten years. At the same time, he graduated from the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Technology at the Technical University of Lamia.
Since 2008 he has been at the side of the great music composer Thanasis Polykandriotis with the music ensemble "Epomenoi".
In 2010 he started the collaboration with the great bouzouki master and teacher Manolis Michalakis.
He has participated in concerts at the Herodes Atticus Theatre, the Athens Concert Hall, the Panathenaic Stadium, the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, the Michalis Kakogiannis Foundation, the Badminton Theater, etc. He was a key member of the Greek Orchestra on Celestyal Cruises cruise ships and on Aristotle Onassis' historic yacht Christina O. He also performed in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia.
He has performed in many musical stages in Athens.
So far, he has to his credit important collaborations with established artists such as conductor and music composer Giorgos Katsaros, Ria Kourti, Yannis Kotsiras, Dimitris Bassis, Stelios Dionysiou, Michalis Dimitriadis, Maria Soultatou, Stathis Koukoularis, Stella Konitopoulou, etc.
He has collaborated with the Pythagorean conservatory, Skalkotas conservatory, Ariadneian conservatory, Liuta conservatory etc. as a teacher of bouzouki, tzoura, baglama and guitar.
In 2019, the song "Nothing without you" was released by the Ogdoo Music Group in his own music and performed by Christina Michalaki.
