Thanos Hadjianagnostou was born and raised in Volos. He started playing drums at the age of thirteen and quickly became a member of the local metal group "Rafferty rules".
In 2005 he moved to Athens to complete his studies at the "Modern Music school" (LAB of Athens) with professor Nikos Siderokastritis. He participated for a year in the Jazz workshops of Professor Grigoris Danis, where he got involved in Brazilian music. He graduated in 2007 with honours.
From 2008 he starts teaching drums at Doukas Private Schools and later at the conservatory "Ihomorphes" and also at the Lab of Piraeus. Finally, he participates in the group of teachers of the annual Jazz workshop "Horto Jazz Workshop", in Horto of Pelion.
He has attended seminars by renowned musicians such as Jojo Mayer, Mark Julliana, etc.
He has collaborated with musicians of the domestic jazz scene.
He has also collaborated with artists and songwriters such as Phoivos Delivorias, Pantelis Thalassinos, Arleta, Aleka Kanellidou, Maria Faradouri, Haig Yazdjian, Stavros Lantsias, Dimitris Yfantis, Kalliopi Vetta and others.
In 2010 he starts writing his own music and creates the group "The Wonderfall Quartet" with a sound reminiscent of European jazz. The group recorded two albums, the "Wonderfall Quartet" and "Horizon", receiving very good reviews.
In 2015 he represented Greece in the Athens Jazz Technopolis festival.
In 2016 he created the "Thanos Hatzianagnostou QUARTET" with his own compositions and arrangements and in November 2017 the group's first album entitled "Crowddead cities" was officially released.
In September 2019 he collaborates with Thodoris Kotsyfas and Yiannis Papadopoulos and they create an electric-psychedelic-progressive-jazz-rock trio called "Nanot". From the academic year 2023-24 he belongs to the educational staff of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
