Babis Katirtzoglou, born in 1985 in Giannitsa, started studying music in 1997 at the Giannitsa Music School in the prefecture of Pella, graduating in 2003. He then started studying drums until 2008 with teacher Kostas Anastasiadis. From 2008 to 2014 he taught drums at the municipal conservatory of Giannitsa and at music schools of Edessa.

In 2018 he started studying drums at the Jazz department of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory with teacher Ilias Doumanis, from where he obtained a diploma in modern music in 2022. He has also studied Byzantine music at the school of the Church of Agios Athanasios at Polydroson Attica and holds a diploma in Byzantine music from 2019.

He has appeared in many clubs and festivals in Europe, while he has many recordings to his credit.

He has collaborated with several artists of the international rock scene such as: Jeff Scott Soto (Journey), Paul di Anno (Iron Maiden), Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions) and others.

He has also collaborated with Greek artists such as: Giorgos Dimitriadis, Nikos Ziogalas, Manolis Famelos, Yiannis Charoulis, Polina etc. He has also performed at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Athens Concert Hall.

Since 2020 he has been teaching drums at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
