Seminar Cycle for the Introduction in Music Therapy, 40 hours with physical presence or online (it takes place twice per educational year; October to February and February to June)

The Department of Music Therapy, headed by music therapist Pelina Evangelou, apart from the music therapy sessions is featuring a series of seminars, lasting 40 hours comprising a course of 6 hours with special guest Dr. Dora Psaltopoulou, Assistant Professor in Music Therapy at the Aristotle University is included.


The seminars are aimed at music students and professional musicians, students and professionals in health and mental health (such as doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, special educators, nurses, social workers, etc.) to teachers, kindergarten teachers, and parents who wish to learn the subject of music therapy and its philosophy. Those who use or would like to use music as a tool in therapy or education and those who wish to prepare for further studies in music. Finally, the seminars can be attended by those wishing to experience how music can facilitate the expression, interaction and communication (verbal or not) and how music therapy can help people develop the emotional, communicative and social skills and creative capacity and enhance the quality of life.
