CV

Born in Athens, Greece in 1973, Marilena Spachi begun her piano studies at a very young age. In 1995, she received her Performance Certificate with honours from the Attica Conservatory and three years later in 1998 her National Piano Diploma, under the guidance of Sofia Garoufali. In 1994 she received the Certificate in Special Harmony after completing her studies in Advanced Music Theory.

Marilena has attended Master Classes with Aris Garoufalis, Paul Badura Skoda (at the Academie de Musique de Sion), Nikolai Petrov and Martino Tirimo. From 1999 up to 2007 she continued her classic performance studies under the great pianist and professor of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Valery Sagaidatschny.

From 1998 she has been working as piano instructor.

She has appeared in various concerts and given piano recitals in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Since 2013 Marilena is a member of Trio Sentimento along with Marina Kislitsina (cello) and Yaroslav Tokarev (violin). She teaches piano and works as piano accompanist at Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
