Art History

In 20 "classroom presentations" and with 3 visits to museum-exhibitions, a condensed but coherent narrative of the history of visual arts (mainly architecture, sculpture and painting, but also applied or decorative arts) will be attempted, as well as more broadly of "visual culture", from Antiquity to the present day, focusing primarily on its Western European evolution. Particular emphasis will be placed on pictorial and stylistic analysis, as a sequence and/or intersection, trying through the "image" of the most iconic and/or pioneering works of art to decode the culture they represent.
