The inclusion of music studies in University education has created the need for specific study programs that ensure, in a limited - often - period of time, the adequate preparation of candidates for Higher Education and, subsequently, their professional future.
The Philippos Nakas Conservatory implements a program to effectively prepare students for admission to the music studies departments of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Ionian University, the University of Ioannina and the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia.
The students of the Conservatory prepare thoroughly in order to respond successfully to the nationwide exam which is the new uniform way of admission to all Music Universities.
The preparation includes a) Music Performance and Interpretation and b) Music Perception, Theory and Harmony.
The lessons are taught individually or in groups, according to the level and the age of students. Duration of courses: one year for graduating students and two years for undergraduates.
