In the competition announced by the State Orchestra of Athens for the position of Principal A' in the flutes, Nikos Nikopoulos, professor of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory took the position. An important distinction for the flutist who has been for 22 years Principal A' in the National Opera Orchestra, and deservedly received the position with his performance competing with many other flutists.
