Maria Kontaratou has been collaborating with the Philippos Nakas Conservatory since the 1990s, as a piano teacher. With studies in Greece and abroad (Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College, Α.R.S.M. Royal College of Music), she has been coaching the students of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory for three decades, having successfully awarded many degrees and diplomas. As of the current educational year, Maria Kontaratou takes over the artistic direction of the Aigaleo branch. The good communication with the students and the teaching-administrative staff of the Conservatory continues from this new position, including administrative responsibilities as well, which Maria Kontaratou is deemed absolutely capable of handling, having as her primary concern the love and devotion to music and to music students.
