Born in Larissa in 1974, Paraskevi Karagianni took her first violin lessons at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa. She continued her studies at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki from where she obtained a degree of harmony, a violin degree (class: E. Papadimitriou) and a violin diploma with honors (teacher: L. Kühne). She is a graduate of the Aristotle University Music Department.
For several years (1988-2014) she participated as an active member of seminars entitled ''The meaning and origins of Music Performance'' with George Hatzinikos studying mainly orchestral works and chamber music. She attended as an active member seminars violin with: L. David, M. Margaunt, T. Gabora, C. Johnson, T. Apostolidis and R. Szilvay. She took part in an international music educational seminar Kodály Institute in Kecskemet (Hungary, 2005) as well as in a series of seminars for learning the method "Colourstring" the East Helsinki Music Institute (Finland 2008, Austria 2009, 2010).
She systematically deals with the creation of string ensembles with the aim of fostering the musicality of students. She has taught violin and string ensembles at the Municipal Conservatory of Kozani (1993-1995) and (2009-2012), at the Conservatory of Veria Philippos (1994-2008), the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki (1997-2005). Since 2005 she teaches violin, chamber music and string ensembles at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory Annex Thessaloniki. She is a member of the orchestra of the Municipality of Larissa.
