Sofia Koupidou was born in Veria where she started violin lessons at the age of 7 at the Filippos Conservatory of Veria (P. Karagiannis class). In 2021 she received a Violin Diploma from the Philippos Nakas Conservatory of Thessaloniki (class of Paraskevi Karagianni) with grade Excellent and first prize. She is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristoteles University of Thessalonik, majoring in music pedagogy.

She has been a member of the Aristoteles University Symphony Orchestra with conductors Dimitris Dimopoulos and Vladimiros Symeonidis, of the Thessaloniki Music Hall Youth Symphony Orchestra (MOYSA) with conductors Zoe Zeniodi and Thodoris Papadimitriou, of the Ancient Music Ensemble of the Department of Music Studies with Thodoris Kitsos, the String Ensemble of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Paraskevi Karagianni and other orchestral and chamber music ensembles. As a member of these ensembles and orchestras she has performed concerts in various cities in Greece and abroad.

She has taken part as an active member in seminars of conductor and teacher Giorgos Chatzinikos, in a Violin Masterclass with Christos Kanettis in a violin seminar at the Pelion festival with Apollon Grammatikopoulos etc.

Since 2018 she has been teaching violin and music pre-education system Junior Strings at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Thessaloniki and violin at the MusicArt-New Conservatory in Kozani, and the Municipal Conservatories of Polihni and Stavroupoli.
