Adamantia Strakou was born in Ptolemaida, where she started cello lessons at the age of 15. In 2011, she was admitted to the University of Macedonia, in the Department of Music Science and Art, from where she graduated with a specialization in cello with Honors and with professor Dimitris Patras.

She has attended seminars with distinguished cellists such as Anatoli Krastev at the Vlasti International Seminar, Dimitris Patras at the Lefkada Music Week, Vassilis Saitis at the Pelion Festival, Caglayan Unal sumer and Pietro Sarafin at the Mediterranean Cello Meeting in Corfu. In addition, she has studied with Mario Finotti, first cellist of the orchestra of Padua and Venice in the framework of the Erasmus program for a semester, as well as with Bruno Beraldo.

She has cooperated with the symphony orchestra of the University of Macedonia, the symphony of the Aristotle University and the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Violoncellissimo cello orchestra. Also, since 2016 she is a member of MOYSA, the youth symphony orchestra of the Thessaloniki Music Hall.

In 2017, she received her diploma from the Municipal Conservatory of Kavala, in the cello class with teacher Christos Kozalis, with honours.

Since 2016 she teaches at the cello class of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Thessaloniki.
