Katerina Marineli was born in Thessaloniki. She began her classical guitar studies at the Conservatory of Northern Greece and continued at the Contemporary Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where she received her degree from the class of Ileana Marda. She then received her diploma from the class of Thanos Mitsalas. Since 1993 she has been teaching at music schools and conservatories in Northern Greece. She has been working with the Philippos Nakas Conservatory since 2005. She has attended seminars with Lisa Zoi - Evangelos Asimakopoulos, Nora Buschmann, Costas Kotsiolis, Hubert Kappel, Roland Dyens, etc. She has performed recitals and chamber music concerts.
