Dimitra Koyoumtzidou was born in Thessaloniki in March 1995. She began her musical studies at the Northern Greece Conservatory in 2007, from which she graduated in January 2017 with a Degree (Ptychion) in Cello, in the class of Professor Ioannis Stefos. As of July 2021, she is a graduate of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, in the cello diploma class of Professor Yiannis Tsitselikis, with simultaneous participation in Chamber Music Ensembles and the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory.
She actively participated during the summers of 2014 - 2019 in the cello seminars of the "Pelion Festival" of Zagora Pelion with teachers Vassilis Saitis, Angelos Liakakis, Urlich Voss and Themistocles Vagenas, while she has attended chamber music and instrument teaching seminars in Greece and Germany.
She teaches cello to children and adults of all ages, music pre-education and music theory since September 2014 in Private and Municipal Conservatories in Northern Greece, while at the same time she collaborates with the "Children's Melody" Nursery School of Pylaia Thessaloniki, in the context of musical activities and events for parents and children, since December 2014.
She is a member of the Thessaloniki Youth Symphony Orchestra (MOYSA) since 2015, with which she has participated in more than 35 musical projects and concerts, many of which were side-by-side collaborations with the State Orchestra of Thessaloniki, State Orchestra of Athens, Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, European Union Youth Orchestra, etc. in venues such as Thessaloniki and Athens Concert Halls, the Alternative Stage of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Herodus Atticus Theater etc.
She has collaborated with distinguished artists, soloists and conductors of the music community, such as Leonidas Kavakos, Maria Asteriadou, Zoi Zeniodis, George Lazaridis, Thodoris Papadimitriou, Matias de Olivera Pinto, Michalis Oikonomou, Vladimiros Symeonidis, Nikos Platyrachos, Dimitris Bassis, Eleftheria Arvanitaki, TAKIM etc. while she also participated during the winter semester 2013-14 in the Violoncellissimo Ensemble of Professor Dimitris Patras at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. Furthermore, she is a member of the Symphony Orchestra "Sinfonietta Hellenica" in Athens, with founder and conductor Giorgos Galanis, she actively participates in artistic charity actions of the Association of Cancer Patients of Edessa and Surroundings and in addition, she is a Founding Member of the Urban Non-Profit Society "KACHTA", working as a musician for the promotion and wider dissemination of all kinds of art, through performance, storytelling and theater.
Alongside her music career, since November 2019 she holds an Integrated Master of the Department of Agriculture, Plant Production, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with corresponding professional and voluntary activity in the Agri-Food and Environmental sector, while since September 2021 she is a student of Interdepartmental Master's Program "Entrepreneurship and Consulting in Rural Development" of the Agricultural University of Athens.
