Christos Sygounis was born in Athens. He began his musical education at the Contemporary Center for Musical Studies of Kozani and, alongside his legal studies, continued his training at the "Music College" Conservatory of Thessaloniki with teacher Inessa Pavlidou - Simonidou, from whose class he graduated as a piano graduate. He actively participated in piano seminars of distinguished artists (Maria Asteriadou, Patroklos Georgiadis, George Thymis, Dimitris Toufexis, Michael Hauber, Bernard Ringeissen, Martino Tirimo), and also attended a course at the Summer Academy of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. He has appeared in important concert halls in Greece and abroad, both as a soloist and as a member of chamber music ensembles. He holds degrees in Harmony (class of Yiannis Baroutas) and Counterpoint (class of Alki Baltas), as well as a doctorate from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Today he works as an accompanist pianist and piano teacher.
