Spyros Rondogiannis was involved in music from an early age, starting with the piano, dedicating himself later on to the saxophone. In 2003 he attended training seminars in Terramo, Italy with the internationally renowned American saxophonist Eugene ROUSSEAU. In 2004 he attended courses at the saxophone summer university in Gap, France with Claude DELANGLE and Arno BORNKAMP. In 2005 he completed his studies, obtaining a Classical Saxophone Diploma from the class of Efstathios Mavrommatis at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. Since 2006, in order to broaden his musical horizons, he studied at the Jazz department of the Athenaeum conservatory in the class of Sylvios Syrros. Since 2020 he has been taking lessons from the internationally renowned English saxophonist Gilad Atzmon.

He has been a member of the Akroama saxophone quartet and is a founding member of the Open Maze quintet. He has performed many concerts in Greece and abroad. He has collaborated as a soloist with the Nirikos String Orchestra and the Piraeus Municipality Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also collaborated with the State Orchestra of Athens. Since 2000 he has been the leading saxophonist in the Piraeus Philharmonic Orchestra.
