Athena Tsolakou was born in Athens. She studied lyric song at the Athens Conservatory with a scholarship in singing class of Iro Palli, graduating with honors in 1992.

She participated in seminars by L. Alva, Il. Kotroumpas, K. Paschalis, V. Des Los Angeles organized by the International Cultural Center «Athenaeum» and international song contests.

In 1993 she attend the acting courses of theArt workshop for theater and opera of S. Evangelatos. She continued her studies in music theory, degree in Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue. She cooperates with the National Opera and ERT in various events at the Athens Festival. She attended pre-education music seminars as well as the Junior Music Course system at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory. She attended the Lifelong Learning Seminars - 100 hours organized by EEMAPE (Association of Musical Education for Elementary Education)



She has given recitals either as a soloist or with ensembles. She collaborated for two years with Channel 1 Piraeus having the production and editing of the classical music program. For five consecutive years she worked as music teacher in the Primary Public Education.

Since 1993 she is teaching at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory in Athens and in Patras, in the Greek National Conservatoire (Peristeri branch) and also in the Chalkis Municipal Conservatory, where, besides monody & melodrama, she teaches also Musical Pre-education and is the Children’s Choir artistic director.
