Michalis Goutis is a composer and pianist, member of the Greek Composers Union. His work includes contemporary music, poetry set to music, music for theatre, film and contemporary dance. His recent artistic activity includes: music for Leonidas Vardaro's documentary "Women Fighters - The Triple Liberation" (2022), release of the second personal album entitled "The Portrait" from Ogdoo (2021), participation in the Composition Workshop of the Greek Composers Union with his work "Come and Go" (Athens Concert Hall, 2019), music for the contemporary dance performance "Hubris" by K. Antoniadou (KTHBE, 2018), music for the performance "Perliblin and Belisa" by F. G. Lorka (dir. A. Spyridakis, Theater T, Thessaloniki 2018), release of the first personal album with poetry set to music by Theodosis Volkof entitled "In the Visible and the Unseen" (2018) by FM Records.

Born in Thessaloniki in 1982, he studied piano at the Music College of Thessaloniki with Inessa Simonidou, at the Royal Northern College of Music in England with Paul Roberts and composition at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Kostas Tsougras. An experienced accompanist pianist with many collaborations with singers of the classical repertoire, he has taught piano and advanced theory in conservatories of Thessaloniki and Ptolemaida. He lives and works in Athens and from the academic year 2022-23 he belongs to the educational staff of the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
