Katerina Karabatsa was born in Larissa. She began her musical studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Larissa from where she graduated with a degree in piano in 1992 (class of L. Rizou) and a degree in harmony. Alongside her studies at the Physics Department of the University of Athens, she continued her piano studies at the Athens Conservatory from where she graduated in 1997 with a piano diploma (A. Garoufalis class). She has performed chamber music recitals and concerts in Greece and abroad (Cyprus, Japan, England, Albania). She has collaborated with the musical ensembles of the Municipality of Athens, with the Camerata Orchestra of the Friends of Music, with the National Radio and Television Symphony orchestra, etc. She teaches piano at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
