Nikos Tsigros was born in 1995 in Athens and is a graduate of the German School of Athens.

He started learning piano at the age of 6 with Stefanos Sigalas at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, where he studied advanced theory with Christos Psychogyos, obtaining a degree in harmony and counterpoint with grade "Excellent".

In 2019 he graduated from the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens in the direction of Historical and Systematic Musicology, preparing a thesis on "The sonata form in the Partitas (BWV 825-830) and in the second volume of the collection The well-seasoned keyboard (BWV 870-893 ) by Johann Sebastian Bach".

Since 2016 he has been a student of the National Conservatory in the piano class of Victoria Vourtsi, while since 2018 he has been studying under her supervision at the Conservatoire International de Musique de Paris.

He has taken vocal and choir conducting lessons with maestro Kostis Konstandaras, getting also involved in folk music playing guitar and bouzouki.

In February 2019, he won the 3rd prize for his piano performance in the original "Classical Music Box" competition held at the B&M Theocharakis Foundation with works by J.S. Bach, while in April of the same year was awarded second prize in the same competition with works by L. v. Beethoven.

He has composed original music for the film "Analoulouda" by Spyros Mantzavinos, which was screened in 2018 at the international short film festival "Moscow Shorts".

Since January 2016, he has been working at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory as a theory teacher. In 2019 he worked for the Greek Music Center with the aim of digitizing manuscripts of N. Skalkotas.
