Sofia Striggari began guitar lessons at the age of 10 in the class of Evangelos Asimakopulos at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
Alongside her studies in applied arts, she continued at the Athenaeum Conservatory with Professor Lisa Zoe obtaining in 2000 her degree and in 2004 her diploma with honors, first prize and gold medal.
She has attended seminars & master classes of prominent guitarists (O. Ghiglia, R. Dyens, D. Russell, E. Papandreou etc.).
Since 2008 she is an active member of the Athenaeum Guitar Trio (together with Heleni Sygkouna and Rania Angeletou), giving concerts and participating in festivals in Greece and abroad.
She has been teaching at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory since 2003.
