Menelaοs Moraitis was born in Corfu and began tuba studies in 2003 at the Corfu Philharmonic Society with SpirosThymis. He continued his studies in Athens with professor George Rarakos. He is a graduate of the Raimondis Conservatory with Yannis Glenis. He is a member of Ventus ensemble with which he recenly released a CD with the company DECCA CLASSICS. He has collaborated with the Athens State Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of ERT, the ERT Contemporary Orchestra etc. He has pefrormed with many and various ensembles throughout Greece. He has appeared as a soloist with the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra "Orpheus".
