Giannis Panagiotou was born in Athens. He started trumpet with Professor Ioannis Moraitis (International Conservatory of Athens). He is a graduate of the HKU Utrecht Conservatory (Utrecht, Netherlands) in the class of Professor Arto Hoornweg (Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra). He is also a graduate of the Physiotherapy Department of Athens with experience and scientific study of the Respiratory function of musical wind instruments. He has worked with professional musicians in the area of physical therapy rehabilitation from injuries related to the performance of a musical instrument as well as ergonomics and posture of musicians. He has attended seminars with some of the most important trumpet teachers (Markus Stockhausen, Jeroen Bewarts, Marco Pierobon, Fritz Damrow, Roy Poper, etc.). He has been a member of the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra (ASON). He has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens and with other Greek and Dutch orchestras. His collaboration with the Philippos Nakas Conservatory began in 2020.
