Despina Baoussi was born in Athens. She started piano at the age of seven at the National Conservatory. She continued her studies at the Philippos Nakas conservatory where she received a degree with "High Honors" and a Diploma with "High Honors and 2nd prize" in the class of Meropi Kollarou. At the same time, she studied doublebass with Takis Kapoyannis.
Attended Yamaha's Junior Music Course system music pre-education seminars. She has participated in choral festivals in Syros, Paros and has given recitals in Athens and other cities. In September 2018, she took part in the Kallithea Mediterranean Festival at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, performing piano improvisations based on films by Georges Mélies.
She has repeatedly accompanied students in diploma exams, in scholarship competitions, etc. Since 2002 she has been teaching piano and Junior Music Course at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
