Nikos Kainourgios was born in Preveza in 1972.
From 1979 to 1990 he was a member of the band of the "Apollon" philharmonic association of Thesprotiko and from 1986 to 1990 a member of the orchestra of the same association.
In 1990 he settled in Athens where he studied guitar, theory, music technology & IT while also studying computer programming and operations.
He has appeared as a musician in large concert venues, night clubs and music scenes in Athens, the province and abroad with well-known singers of the popular and artistic repertoire such as: Babis Tsertos, Gerasimos Andreatos, Vassilis Lekkas, Pantelis Thalassinos, Kostas Karafotis, Pizza Papadopoulou, Glykeria, Melina Aslanidou, Nadia Karagianni, Katerina Korou et al. Also next to soloists-composers such as: Thanasis Polykandriotis, Panagiotis Stergiou, Manolis Karantinis, Christos Konstantinou, Yiannis Stamatiou (Sporos), Vangelis Liolios and others.
He participated as a musician and also as an arranger in many recordings of records and singles.
He was a member of the orchestra of the television show "to our health".
He has taught guitar at the "Department of Folk and Traditional Music" of the University of Ioannina, the Athens Conservatory, the Municipal Conservatory of Aspropyrgos, the Municipal Conservatory of Oropos, the "Orfeas" Conservatory of Amarousion and the Terpsithea Conservatory of Piraeus. As of the educational year 2022-23 he has been teaching at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory.
