Alekos Roupas at a young age comes in contact with Greek traditional percussion and participates in folk dance festivals while taking drums courses at the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina. Then he graduated from the department of traditional and modern percussion of Philippos Nakas Conservatory with Peter Kourtis. He has attended seminars with: Alex Acuna, Eguie Castrillo, Richie Gajate Garcia, Yshai Afterman - Misirli Ahmet. He has collaborated with a large number of music producers from different genres, while working with top musicians, composers and singers giving concerts around the world. Also important is the recent collaboration with Gloria Gayor concert in Athens. He is a member of the percussion enseble "Drumvoice" and since 2011 teaches at the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, where he taught his first Multi percussion seminars.
