Vasilis Saltikis plays tenor sax and various percussion instruments. He studied music and improvisation at the Modern Conservatory of Thessaloniki with Floros Floridis and then in Athens at the Nakas Conservatory (scholarship) with Dimitris Vassilakis and Markos Alexiou. He attended music seminars in England, India and the USA (on scholarship).
His musical quest has taken him from the traditional, polyrythmic Greek sounds to indian Ragas and jazz. His explosive solos are full of passion, freedom and ecstasy.
