Dimitra Koumandraki was born and raised in Thessaloniki. From the age of 7, she began her first steps on the piano with pianist Fani Karagianni, in whose class she studied until the age of 18. In 2011, she was admitted to the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University, while at the same time she studied at the Ionian Conservatory and the Corfu Conservatory, where she obtained her degrees in harmony and piano (grade Εxcellent).
Her singing career began in 2018, when she began modern singing lessons with Sotiria Kollia. At the same time, she professionally engaged in modern singing in various genres, such as pop, jazz, art and folk in the music scenes of Corfu and Thessaloniki. In 2018, she began her collaboration with the State Theatre of Northern Greece (NTNG), where she undertook music and singing workshops for children and adults. She has been involved in storytelling and the use of voice in storytelling. She has also delved into the field of teaching music and singing, with special seminars from summer academies of the Ionian University, vocal improvisation with Savina Giannatou and body percussion.
She works as a music teacher in Primary Education, while at the same time completing her Master's Program in Educational Psychology at the University of Limassol. In 2023, she began her collaboration with the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, continuing her professional career in the field of singing and music.
