Ioannis Nikolis, an up-and-coming award-winning Greek violin soloist, joins forces with the experienced and acclaimed pianist Mary Alexandratou in a highly virtuosic program of landmark works of the Romantic period for violin and piano, on Friday, February 14, at 8:30 p.m. at the Philippos Nakas Concert Hall.
The dynamic sonata by R. Schumann and the passionate sonata by C. Franck are framed by the emblematic Ballade for solo violin by the Belgian virtuoso and composer E. Ysaÿe in an evening full of passion, emotion and romance, as befits the special holiday of Saint Valentine's Day.
