Yamaha Music Europe Foundation Scholarship for Brass

The Yamaha scholarship program is designed to provide music students with encouragement, motivation and support to continue their studies.

YMEF Scholarship Program 2024/2025

A total of 47 scholarships will be awarded to music students of higher music education institutions in 34 European countries.

In the year 2024/2025, the scholarships will be awarded  for Brass (french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba).

The Greek competition provides for the awarding of one (1) scholarship worth 2,000.00 Euros to a student studying at a recognized Conservatory, Music School or Higher Education Institution in Greece, specializing in a brass instrument and born after April 1, 1999.
For the Scholarship Program concerning Greece, those interested can complete the Application for Participation and submit or send it to the Philippos Nakas Conservatory, 41 Ippokratous, 106 80 Athens.

• The application must necessarily be accompanied by video performances of two works in .MOV or .MP4 format. Download links (e.g. WeTransfer), YouTube links etc. are also accepted.
• Audio and video quality will not affect the final evaluation process
• The total duration of the two works must not exceed 20 minutes
• The two works must belong to two different periods of music and can be performed with or without piano accompaniment

The application deadline for the 2024/2025 scholarship program is 30 November 2024.
Selection process: First through the submission of video performances and then through a live audition which will take place in the Philippos Nakas Concert Hall on January 25, 2025. Those of the applicants invited to participate in the live audition will again have to perform two works out of two different periods of the music, lasting less than 20 minutes, with or without piano accompaniment (Participants are responsible for the accompaniment). The works performed at the live audition may be the same or different from those originally submitted.
The terms of the competition may vary slightly, depending on the country of the event.
