The duet Duende was founded in 2000 and consists of two musicians - teachers of saxophone and piano, members of important orchestras and music ensembles of Athens. Their repertoire includes chamber music works from the modern era of the saxophone, such as works by E. Schulhoff, J. Leleu, M. Markowski, P. Iturralde, F.Say.
This specific program is a particular challenge, since both its virtuoso and interpretive demands keep the interest of the listeners undiminished. The original musical mosaic of different cultures highlights the diverse expressiveness of the melodic sounds of the saxophone and piano in the 20th and 21st century.
