"Colors of sound" Natassa Chalkodaimon piano recital

A piano recital with timbres from the Baroque to the modern era. A journey through time with J. S. Bach as the starting point and B.Bartók as the final destination, with intermediate stations composers - milestones of each era. The recital will close with the work "Sharp Night" of the contemporary Greek composer and guitarist Yannis Alygizakis.

Natassa Chalkodaimon was born in Athens. At the age of six, she started piano lessons in the class of music teacher and pianist Evie Marinaki. At the age of 16 she received the degree "Ptychion" with Distinction and at the age of 19 the "Diploma" with Distinction and First Prize. She also holds DipLCM & ALCM Piano in Performance degrees from the University of West London.
She has attended master classes with Dimitri Bashkirov and Christopher Hinterhuber at the University of Mozarteum, with Martino Tirimo, Konstantin Ganef, Lilia Boyiadjieva, Aline Artignan, Natalia Michailidou and Pavlos Giallourakis.
She has participated in international & pan-Hellenic competitions winning prizes & distinctions, while she has performed concerts in venues such as Kleines Studio-University of Mozarteum, ERT, Herodeion, Athens Concert Hall, "Parnassos" Philological Association, Theocharakis Foundation, Piraeus Municipal Theatre, Benaki Museum, Imbrian Association, French Institute, "Karolos Koun" Theater, "Anna and Maria Kalouta" Multipurpose Hall, Estia Nea Smyrni, Hellenic American Union, Anargyreios and Korgialenios School of Spetses, Amanzoe, etc.
She is a graduate of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, while she holds a Master's Degree (Med) from the University of Nicosia majoring in "Music Pedagogy". She also holds a Master's Degree in Harmony and Counterpoint with Distinction, while currently she is studying in the Fugue class with musicologist, composer and guitarist Yiannis Alygizakis.
Among other things, she has participated in the celebration of the 20 years of operation of the Lilian Voudouri Music Library at the Athens Concert Hall, performing the work "Vexations", while in January 2020 she performed a piano recital live on the third program of the Greek radio.
She is actively involved in chamber music and accompaniment, while in the summer of 2022 she participated in the international Music Academy of Anargyrios and Korgialenios School of Spetses as an accompanist in the violin class of the international violinist Bartek Niziol. At the same academy she had the pleasure of collaborating musically with trombonist Jamie Williams and flautist Natalia Geraki.
Since the winter of 2020, she has been working as an external partner with ERT. She is a piano teacher at the Athenian Conservatory and a music teacher at N. Malliara Schools.
