Athens and the Philippos Nakas Conservatory will again this year be one of the stops for the auditions of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Auditions will be held in 26 European countries, with the aim of staffing the orchestra for its tours in the spring and summer of 2023. The auditions for interested musicians will take place in the Philippos Nakas Concert Hall on November 14.
The GMJO auditions are open to European musicians of all instruments of the symphony orchestra - except percussion - born between 01/01/1996 and 01/01/2007.
Candidates must prepare in specific repertoire depending on the instrument in which they will be competing. The mandatory audition program is always extremely demanding, so candidates are requested to carefully study the competition announcement and the conditions of participation.
